Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of mass production for an innovative locally engineered interceptor drone to strengthen its aerial protection systems. Three initial producers have begun production, with 11 more getting ready to set up production lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Tested in Combat Conditions

The drones utilize a domestically developed technology called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in combat and demonstrated effective “at night, amid electronic warfare and at low altitudes,” officials confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of manufacturing as many as 1,000 defensive drones daily.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit the Spanish capital, Madrid, on Tuesday to confer with lawmakers a day after his visit to Paris, the chamber of deputies disclosed. The Ukrainian president will convene with deputies from all houses of parliament throughout his stay, the Spanish statement said.
