Los Angeles Erupts in Jubilation as Los Angeles Dodgers Claim Second World Series Championship
The City of Angels experienced citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The parade route ended at the stadium, where the players emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist driving a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Festivities started well before the procession, with supporters lighting flares in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, named the MVP of the championship, commented plainly about the win.

However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the celebration. Video footage from the event appear to show him taking the stage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his address.
The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed equal or greater support.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
