I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
